Our Approach to Sustainable Interior Design

Sustainable Design With Staying PowerA home feels different when the pieces in it have substance. As a studio, we gravitate toward furnishings and materials that are well-made and full of individual character. Sometimes that means a vintage piece with a storied history. Sometimes it means custom furnishings made exactly for your home and lifestyle. Either way, the result is a unique style point of view that mass-produced pieces usually can’t match. And when you choose pieces with real staying power, you’re far less likely to feel the urge to start over a few years later. Buy better, buy less. Our approach to sustainability also extends to ethical production, healthy materials, and low-VOC options for better indoor air quality. Whether conscious sourcing is a top priority or simply one of many considerations when it comes to creating your ideal space, we’ll help you make decisions that align with your values. Our 4-step process is a tried and true method of creating warm, curated homes for busy people who don’t want to handle countless interior design decisions themselves. Every project begins with getting to know you and your project, establishing the scope, and talking through how you want your home to feel.Design comes next, including space planning, cabinetry and closet design, material selections, and revisions. While we’re known for a tonal, effortlessly transitional look, your vision always takes priority. We’ll work together to create design concepts that channel the most considered version of your personal style. Once construction begins, we manage procurement and coordinate with the trades while keeping a close eye on the work as it comes together. We also develop the final layers of art and accessories during this phase. Then it’s on to installation. As always, we’ll handle everything so you can prioritize your busy schedule. It all culminates in the final reveal, where we’ll welcome you into your completely transformed space. To commemorate your project and give back to the environment, we’ll plant a tree in your honor.
