A 1933 Spanish Revival, this 1,500-square-foot home required a complete reimagining of function for a growing family of four. The goal was to maximize storage, improve flow, and bring clarity to a compact footprint without compromising the home's original character. A series of arched openings link room to room, while terracotta tile flooring and sage cabinetry set the tone from the entry onward - a palette that carries through every space, however small.

Every inch was carefully redesigned. Original wall thickness was preserved while the layout was reconfigured to expand the kitchen, introduce a built-in dining area, and create a dedicated mudroom entry. A fan-shaped brick fireplace takes center stage in the living room, while custom millwork and period-inspired details - metal caning, wood knobs, and integrated cutouts - honor the home's 1930s roots while supporting modern family life. Layered color and pattern, from vintage kilims to bold textiles, bring warmth and personality throughout.
